Reaching out for help is one of the strongest things a person can do. For Suicide Prevention Month, we sit down with Tanya, one of the managers of Trillium's Behavioral Health Crisis Line. The Behavioral Health Crisis Line is a phone line answered around the clock by real clinicians, for anyone facing a mental health or substance use concern, whether it's for themselves or someone they love.
Listen in as we look at what actually happens when someone picks up. A real clinician answers, any hour of any day. There's no bar you have to reach before it's "worth" calling. And a single conversation can open the door to more help, like therapy, mobile crisis services, peer support, and resources close to home.
